One of the great wool projects from Maggie Bonanomi's newest book, Buttonwood Farm (sold separately).  Wool kit contains similar wools, some of my own hand-dyed wools, textured wools and a great strip of an old army blanket for the brown stem, to complete the pillow front (homespun backing is NOT included) as well as a spool of Maggie's sewing thread of choice, Coats & Clarks Summer Brown, a great neutral that will fade nicely into your work.

Background wool will be a solid, washed mill-dyed black.

A Maggie Bonanomi design from her newest book, Buttonwood Farm (sold separately).  Changed up a bit, this one's done all in wool, and the heart is red instead of blue.  The blue reappears in a few accents on the heart.  Kit includes red and other similar wools as well as a fabulous repurposed silk ribbon for the ribbon clusters at the top and bottom of the heart.
